A new painting
I wanted to get back to doing my watercolor, but my acrylic concoctions are calling out to me instead. Moreover, I should be whipping up some more Art Cards since those are the things that “sell”, but after a real struggle, the need to work on my acrylic diptychs and triptychs came through.
This piece is entitled “Full Potential” and it is done on 4” x 4” masonite boxes with acrylic and vintage collage.
There are a few things going on inside this piece that I will point out. We all have a bluebirdy voice telling us not to ever give up hope. Sometimes we hear it, other times we just choose to ignore it and focus on the bad. I made this painting to remind myself to listen to my bluebird more. I thought about putting the blackbird in too, but didn’t want to give him any press right now. He’s been getting too much with me lately.
The bluebird and his ability to see positively into the future, is in color for obvious reasons.
In the first panel to the left, I really wanted the dancers to be drab to illustrate that not all that glitters is necessarily gold. Grass is greener, that sort of thing.
And the crazy lines in pencil are to illustrate that how we get where we do in this life is not by direct route, but we get there.

Commenting is not available in this section entry.Yes. I’m scrapping the music, art and animation to place my life’s devotion on dance. And I am quite sure I will make my millions based on that. Torn ACL and all. Please don’t bring me down and say its not possible.
Unless you have SEEN me dance.
Which you have Mo.
It’s kind of like Scrabble. I love to play but am not good at it.
HA HA HA HA!
