An Art Show? Where?

Some exciting news to share! I’m sharing wall space over at Willy St Co-op for Madison’s May 6th’s Gallery Night! Such a huge thanks goes out to them for this opportunity.

This weekend I spent a good deal of time over at Willy Street Co-Op hanging my art pieces on their wall. My dear friend Teresa was a lifesaver helping me every step of the way and I thank her for her patience and quick MacGyver-like skills. After, we treated ourselves to some amazing Thai Food down the street at Ha Long Bay. Good times all around. Eating there is an absolute must. Next time I’m ordering from the Vietnamese side of the menu. It’s always a tough toss up between the two when there.

The buildings on Willy St. are so cool. Willy Street itself is the life of the party. I love it there. I love the energy.

What resides inside these triangles is delicious creamed cheese madness.

As for the the artwork, that will be up during all of April and May, so swing by and take a peek in the community room on your way outta the grocery checkout if you can. Two of my favorite things combined. Grocery stores and art! I’ll be there for Gallery Night on May 6th, so stop by and say “hi” then if you prefer. Or if you just want to see what it is I’m going on about from the comfort of your computer, I took some phone pics and you can enjoy the show that way.

I came prepared, but decisions had to be made. One was taking off my green striped shirt.

After some trial and error, fishing line, sky hooks and some swearing: mission accomplished.

The thing I dig the most about the wall space is that it looks like the outside of one of the buildings on Sesame Street.

I also utilized the windowsill. It’s a great place for canvas board pieces to rest.
