Happy Trickster Day! And night….
I was a complete procrastinator this year and waited until the very last day to purchase my candy for the kiddies in my neighborhood. But that worked out good because all candy was half off! Score!
So I stroll up with my goodies, and supplies for supper at the local Piggly Wiggly, and of course all the cashiers are decked out in their costumes and the cashier wishes me a Happy Halloween, to which I wish her one back, and then she pipes up in a cheerful voice with “So are you Pipi Longstocking today?”

…to which I reply without even thinking and rolling my eyes “No. This is how I always dress” and tugged at my pigtails.
Dead silence.
And then I said “So, I guess I am Pipi Longstocking…..uh……everyday?”
Then an uneasy laugh and “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean anything by it”
(hey I can think of worse things to look like!)
So I went home and thought about my existence and self image in great detail, realizing, yes, I DO look like Pipi….

Oh but despite what the last image looks like (that’s called ‘realization”)……the pigtails stay.

I can really tell you’re thinking.
You could almost smell something burning....
Wha wha what?!!
You don’t have a monkey.
Mo: the wheels grinding up there.
Thales: No, but I think Simon could be a fill in.
PS: Pipi’s clothes rock socks by the way.
Pipi’s clothes did rock. Makes me want to knit again.

lol!
The thing that rocked most about Pip’s clothes were her non matching socks.
I had the doll, BTW. One of the only dolls I owned…
